I am deeply grateful to live and work on the unceded traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) people, now know as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations, as well as the traditional and unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ nations. I commit to my own ongoing self reflection and education in this field of work that has often caused harm through pathology, prejudice and denial. I am convinced that all viable paths forward are deeply intertwined.
